Question:-
How long does the crepe rubber pad last?
A:- The durable crepe rubber pad does not wear out
under normal use. The reason it does not wear out is that there is not the same
excessive pressure on the pad as compared with the rubber blocks used to clean
drum sanders.
Question:- Sometimes the cleaning pad flies
out of the carousel. How do I prevent this from happening?
A:- Place the sander directly in the carousel
without hovering over the pad.
Question:- Will my ¼ sheet sander fit
in the carousel?
A:- No.
Question:- Does it work with ‘D’
handled ROS’s?
A:- It is designed and recommended for random
orbital palm sanders. It works for most ‘D’ handled sanders; some
may not sit and run on their own because they may be too heavy and not
balanced, but it can be used for cleaning and shut off.
Question:- Does it work with right-handled
ROS’s?
A:- No, it does not.
Question:- Should I lubricate the bearing?
A:- No. Do not apply any lubricant to the bearing.
Question:- My sander falls over near the end
of the wind down period. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
A:- Some sanders rotate faster than others and may
jump out of the carousel or appear to be unstable when winding down to a stop.
If this happens, turn the "Spin Control Adjustment Screw"(located in
the centre of the carousel under the cleaning pad) clockwise until slight
resistance is felt. Re-adjust as necesary until sander and carousel rotate
under control and stop simultaneously. |
